Druid’s Glen Hotel nestled away in Co Wicklow offers a beautiful venue just outside Dublin for a high end wedding such as the wedding of Joanne & Trevor at Druid’s Glen.

I was delighted to be chosen to photograph the wedding of Joanne and Trevor at Druids Glen. We were not long out of lockdown and guest numbers were limited to 50 but that didn’t dampen any spirits. I was also grateful to be working again alongside Richard from BrideandGroom. His work is brilliant and he’s great craic too..!

I’ve always maintained over the years that smaller weddings are always the best and with small guest numbers now the order of the day, 2020 saw nothing but small intimate weddings. Couples are less stressed and as an outsider looking in, I can see them enjoying their day a lot more. Joanne and Trevor had an amazing day. It was late summer and the weather was just fab.

They chose the beautiful and quaint St. Patrick’s Church, in Kilquade for their wedding ceremony. It’s also just a stone’s throw away from Druid’s Glen. After the wedding ceremony and a bit of mingling around the church yard afterwards, everybody went back to the hotel for the reception. Here, a golf cart and driver awaited the bride and groom to whisk them away with Richard and me for the wedding photos and video. We didn’t need very long and soon we had Joanne and Trevor back with their guests.

Dinner bell eventually sounded and Joanne and Trevor were welcomed into the room. Live music by Ball & Chain was still allowed, so after the meal the first dance concluded my time with a great couple.
