Unforgettable Wedding at Castle Leslie of Saoirse & Robbie

When you know that you’re going to be working in Castle Leslie, Co Monaghan, you know it’s going to be special.  It’s just one of those great wedding venues. And when you also have a great couple who appreciate photography, it’s just perfect.  Such was the case with the wedding at Castle Leslie of Saoirse & Robbie. Driving up from Dublin that morning was absolutely gorgeous – sun, rolling green hills against a deep blue sky.

Start of a perfect day which saw me begin at the bridal preparations in Glaslough. Bride, four bridesmaids and mother of the bride all for hair and makeup places real time pressure on the morning but Saoirse with her meticulous planning and attention to detail ensured that all the preparations went exactly to plan with no stress or fuss. This meant that I had time to nip off to the groom in the nearby stables in Castle Leslie to capture Robbie’s preparations before he leaded off for a pint..!

The ceremony was held in the beautiful church in the castle grounds after which everybody walked through the grounds to the castle and the reception accompanied by brilliant The Kookie Yukes. As the weather was perfect, the reception was largely outdoors in the gardens overlooking the beautiful lake. Afternoon receptions always fly by and by the time we had spent a short while taking photographs of the bride & groom and then family photographs it was time for dinner call. Speeches & dancing were preceded by a few night-time shots of Saoirse & Robbie. Here’s a taste of their day.
