Emily & Eddie came recommended to me by a previous couple whose wedding I photographed in Spain a few years back. Sunny Cork though was the location for this job as they chose to have their University College Cork wedding (UCC) with the ceremony in the beautiful Honan Chapel. This was a full city centre wedding as the reception was held in the Imperial Hotel Cork so ya can’t really get much more city centre than that…!
Stunning University College Cork Wedding
First stop though was Emily preparations which took place just outside Cork in her family home. A gorgeous morning and Emilys home was a buzz of activity. As always with these events, everybody was in great form and as an extra bonus – everything was on track.
Bride in her dress and it was time for me to skip off to UCC and The Honan Chapel. This is a beautiful chapel on the grounds of UCC and its very popular with weddings. By the time I arrived, wedding guests were beginning to arrive and Eddie and the lads arrived. Emily & Eddie were married by a friend of theirs and after the ceremony it was time to take a walk down the aisle and out into the dazzling sunlight. Sun beating down it was time for family photos in the beautiful college grounds under a shady tree and then time for a ramble around the grounds with the bride and groom for their photos. We had loads of time which is always great as it gives couples time to relax into their photos and it allows us to wait for passersby to move out of the way etc…
After that it was onwards to The Imperial Hotel where the reception drinks were well underway. Fantastic day around from the couple to some wonderful guests and fabulous locations with beautiful weather.
