Stunning Tinakilly Country House Wedding – Laura & Mark

A popular Wicklow wedding venue for you here – Laura and Mark jumped at the chance for a Tinakilly Country House wedding in County Wicklow this summer. Tinakilly Country House is a gem of a location for your wedding reception and popular with all us Leinster wedding photographers for all the right reasons…!

Tinakilly Country House Wedding in Co Wicklow

It’s always lovely to photograph the bridal preparations in a beautiful room with a four poster bed and Tinakilly has just that. Laura got ready here with her 3 bridesmaids on a beautiful sunny late summer morning. Mark was getting ready in his parents house a few minutes drive away so that meant that I was able to quickly go to him for a short while. The ceremony was held in St Patricks Church in Wicklow – an imposing church on the top of a steep hill just on the outskirts of Wicklow town. What really made this wedding ceremony special though, was that Laura and Mark received a procession at communion and a Guard of Honour from Marks Irish Army colleagues. Always a spectacular sight..!

After the church, onwards to Tinakilly where drinks in the garden were beckoning. After some quick family photos, I spent a short while with the bride and groom to capture really natural style photos. A couple of weeks before the wedding, Laura arranged an engagement shoot with me as she was apprehensive about her photo session on her wedding day. We spent an hour or so on Killiney Hill in Dublin for their engagement photos one evening and she realised that it was nothing to be fearful about. She was much more relaxed for her wedding photographs having experienced my working style so it really paid off for both her and Mark. So on their wedding day an enjoyable short portrait session was completed for the bride and groom and it was back into documentary mode whilst I mingled with their guests.

Time was on my side so I also got a chance to launch a drone and get some aerial shots of this lovely venue before the dinner bell sounded.

All in all a great day with great weather and a fabulous couple. I stayed until the dancing and after 4 or 5 songs, I had what I needed. Thanks so much guys for choosing me to photograph your wedding – it was a pleasure. Here is just a small selection of images from their wedding day.
