Stunning Outdoor wedding at Marlfield House

So a wedding at Marlfield House – happy days….! This is one venue that has eluded me over the years. I would receive availability enquiries for a wedding at Marlfield House but I was always already booked to photograph other weddings but eventually the time would come when I was available..!

The Beautiful Outdoor wedding at Marlfield House, Gorey of Amanda & Pete 

Anyway, it was only a matter of time and eventually I received an enquiry where I had the date available. Amanda & Pete living in Australia contacted me for a Skype chat and then booked me for their wedding at Marlfield House. Now obviously I’d have much preferred to go to Australia to photograph their wedding but as that wasn’t going to happen, Marlfield was a suitable alternative. Sure they even have plants growing there that look like they come from Australia. Bride and groom popped back to Ireland to tie the knot this summer. Being used to the outdoor lifestyle in Oz meant that they were determined to have an outdoor wedding if at all possible in Ireland.  It was touch and go obviously but eventually the light drizzle that persisted all through the morning gave way to a warm sunny afternoon.  Seating was quickly re-arranged by the excellent and efficient staff at Marlfield and the ceremony was underway. This was a truly gorgeous wedding with a really laid back vibe that was enhanced by the magnificent outdoor setting of the house and gardens. Guests lounged on the lawn enjoying the sun and refreshments to live music. I don’t think that it could have worked out better for our bride and groom…! Whilst guests were enjoying their cold drinks, Amanda and Pete slipped away with me for a short photo session followed by a few bridal party photos and them some quick family shots before being called in for dinner, speeches and of course dancing to 80’s music. Fantastic venue, great weather and a great couple.  A brilliant day overall for this wedding at Marlfield House.
