Having worked a year before with Marina + Ciaran for their engagement shoot in 2018, I was really looking forward to jumping on this Clonakilty Cork Wedding last summer.
Marina + Ciaran – Clonakilty Cork Wedding
Together with my friend Gavin from Dreamcatcher Productions we had this day covered from the start. Bride and groom preparations until dancing with everything in between. Some beautiful weather in the stunning Co Cork countryside was an added bonus.
Clonakilty Cork Wedding
The day started just outside Clonakilty where girls had rented a house for the preparations. Hair and makeup were in full swing when I arrived and everything was calm. I spent a little bit of time here before heading to the guys a few kms up the road.
Perfect timing for me arriving at the guys house as they were just about to start getting suited up.
After that it was quickly back to the girls to catch the last of the preparations before I had to jump back in the car and go to the church.
The Church – Clonakilty Cork wedding
And what a stunning church – Sacred Heart Church in Darrara, Clonakilty.
A First Look at a Clonakilty Cork Wedding
And now for the best bit – a first look..! Marina and Ciaran were adamant from the very start that they wanted to have a first look. They wanted it to be a special private moment rather than one in front of everybody at the church alter. Question was, where to have it…? In the end, they decided let’s just do it at the church before the ceremony.
Then it was onto some quick photos at the church door before the ceremony started. Marina decided to have her identical twin sister walk up the aisle with her.
After all was done at the church including all the family photos, we then drove off to a forest for some bride and groom photos. By now the sun was out and being mid-summer it was hot and strong so we were thankful of having some shade to work in.
Back at the Dunmore House hotel, guest were enjoying cold beers, sun and games…!!
Soon, time for speeches before we had a chance to run out, grab a golf cart and race up a hill to catch that sunset. A huge thanks to the hotel management for being so accommodating here and making this possible during a busy dinner service.
Then, a long day came to a close with the first dance and some mad party moves..!
Thanks to a wonderful couple that made it so easy and an absolute pleasure to work with. For their engagement shoot and their wedding.
Thank you so much to Marina and Ciaran for choosing me to be their photographer at their Clonakilty Cork wedding. It was an absolute pleasure working with you both and at this wonderful Clonakilty Cork wedding venue.
