Alexis & Andrew’s Intimate Carton House Wedding
Popping back from their home in the Middle-east, Alexis and Andrew really wanted a special venue to celebrate their wedding. A Carton House wedding in Maynooth is always ultra special and so it was an easy decision to make regarding their wedding venue.
With its beautiful interiors both in the new and old building and it’s gorgeous grounds, a wedding at Carton House is always a pleasure to experience and photograph. Planning a wedding from abroad is not the easiest job in the world so to help, the bride and groom enlisted the services of a wedding planner.
The day was organised by the brilliant Maria from The Event Design Co ensuring that everything came together as it should on the day. I’ve worked with Maria before and her attention to detail along with her lovely calm personality results in a great working relationship for everybody ensuring everything goes smoothly in the run-up to and on the day of the wedding.
Preparations, ceremony and reception were all held on the Carton Estate so there was no to-ing and fro-ing from a church. The intimate wedding ceremony was held in one of the exquisite rooms of the old house after which guests sipped champagne looking out onto the immaculate gardens.
After some really mixed weather in the lead up to their wedding, the day turned out just fine.
For their photos, Alexis, Andrew and I quickly slipped into a golf buggy to take us to a couple of photo locations before heading back to the celebrations for the necessary family and informal photos. During dinner, I was able to get out and put my drone up for some aerial shots of the incredible estate. Back in for the speeches, cake cutting and then dancing after which I ended my day. As always, a brilliant day and a truly lovely couple. Some of their highlights are below.
