The famous Howth Cliff Walk offers unparalleled panoramic views of the Irish Sea and Dublin Bay. As you navigate the trail, the landscape unfolds to reveal the iconic Baily Lighthouse, perched proudly on the rocky peninsula. Seamless Logistics: The Secret to a Stress-Free Surprise Proposal


Planning a surprise proposal from thousands of miles away can feel incredibly daunting. How do you find the right spot? How do you ensure the lighting is perfect? And most importantly, how do you keep the photographer a secret?

Because I shoot a lot of proposals and engagement sessions at Howth Cliffs, I have the logistics down to a tee. From providing the exact location of the best vantage points to timing the session perfectly with the coastal light, my intention is always to take as much stress away from the guy as humanly possible.

All Chad had to do was focus on Sammi, walk to our designated spot, and enjoy the moment. I took care of the rest, hiding in plain sight until the perfect second arrived.

Chad & Sammi: When the Perfect Elements Combine


Every so often, a photography session comes along where absolutely every single ingredient aligns flawlessly. We had the perfect location, the perfect couple, and an Irish sky that looked like a living painting.
When Chad dropped to one knee with the Irish Sea crashing below them, time seemed to stand still. Sammi’s reaction was pure, unfiltered joy—and yes, she said a resounding YES (which is always a major plus!).
What followed was an absolutely brilliant engagement session. Ireland is famous for its rapidly changing weather, and this day gave us an incredible show. We were treated to amazing, shifting light that transitioned into a deeply dramatic skyline for a large part of the shoot. The moody clouds and bursts of golden hour sun added a cinematic texture to their portraits that you can only get on the coast of Dublin.

Capturing the Chemistry


Of course, even the best views in Ireland are nothing without the connection between the couple. Chad and Sammi’s chemistry on camera was entirely effortless. They moved from laughing and playing in the coastal wind to sharing quiet, intimate moments against the backdrop of the Baily Lighthouse. Their joy was infectious, making it an incredibly fun session to photograph.
