One of my first wedding of 2021 was this lovely intimate City Hall Wedding in Dublin of John Paul & Zuzana.

Intimate City Hall Wedding in Dublin

So I first met John Paul & Zuzana prior to their City Hall Dublin wedding a couple of years ago. They booked me for an engagement session around the Ringsend area in Dublin. Their wedding was supposed to be held in Zuzana’s home country of the Czech Republic but with CoVid those plans had to be changed. Instead, they decided to proceed with a micro-wedding in City Hall for very close family and friends making that magic number of 6 permitted guests..!!

They got in touch with me to see if I was available to photograph their wedding and I was thrilled to say that I was.

Both John Paul and Zuzana were getting ready in The Shelbourne so they decided to go for a first look across the road in St Stephens Green. Afterwards they were delighted that they opted for this approach – as was yours truly…!

Immediately after the first look, we walked around the Green taking some photos and then we continued to City Hall for the ceremony. Right in the middle of lockdown it was very strange experience walking through the quiet Dublin streets…. City Hall is always such a great venue regardless of whether it’s 60 guests or 6 . The beautiful intimate ceremony was streamed live to the wider group of family and friends in lreland and abroad. Vows were made, tears flowed, cake was eaten and their short story is below.
