Glasson Lakehouse Wedding
Imagine a picturesque setting for your Glasson Lakehouse wedding, with the gentle waters of Glasson Lake glistening in the sunlight, surrounded by lush greenery and the sweet scent of blooming flowers. This was the scene of Emma and Nicholas’s wedding at the stunning Glasson Lakehouse Hotel in Westmeath.
As a documentary wedding photographer, my goal is to capture the authentic moments, emotions, and beauty of a wedding day without intruding or staging cheesy shots. Emma and Nicholas’s wedding provided the perfect canvas for this approach, with their love shining through in every candid moment.
Documentary Style
Most weddings I photograph require a mix of around 90% documentary or candid approach with the remaining 10% being the formal family phots and some loosely posed or guided couple photos. Emma and Nicholas wanted a much more documentary approach so only a few family formals and very few guided couple photos. So with that in mind, I hit the ground running with the bridal preps and continued on right up to first dance (and a bit beyond…!).
I feel that every photo from this wedding tells a story of love, happiness, and the magic of their special day. The natural light filtering through the windows of the Glasson Lakehouse added an ethereal glow to each photograph, enhancing the romantic atmosphere of the occasion.
So I had the most amazing time capturing Emma & Nicholas’ wedding at the beautiful Glasson Lakehouse Hotel in Westmeath. The venue was absolutely stunning, with the lake providing the perfect backdrop for some truly magical moments.
I love documenting weddings in a natural and candid way, really capturing the love and emotions of the day. Emma & Nicholas were such a lovely couple, and their connection was so evident in every photo I took. From the intimate moments during the ceremony to the joyous celebrations during the reception, it was a joy to be a part of their special day.
The Hotel
Glasson Lakehouse Hotel provided the perfect setting for this Irish wedding, with its picturesque views and elegant surroundings. It was a true pleasure to work in such a beautiful location, and I think the photos truly reflect the love and happiness that filled the air that day.
Being a wedding photographer allows me to witness some of the most precious moments in people’s lives, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to document Emma & Nicholas’ wedding day. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do, and I can’t wait to capture more love stories in the future.
Congratulations
So here’s to Emma and Nicholas, to their love story unfolding against the backdrop of Glasson Lake, and to the magic of Irish weddings that never fail to capture our hearts. May their journey together be as breathtaking as the moments I captured on their special day, filled with love, laughter, and the promise of forever. #weddingphotography #weddingphotographer #irishweddings
