Fab Springtime Intimate Killiney Wedding

With lockdown in place this fab springtime intimate Killiney wedding turned out to be a stunner thanks to the location, amazing weather and a great couple.

Fab Springtime Intimate Killiney Wedding

Like many other couples, Anna (Ania) and Paul were supposed to have a bigger wedding in a completely different venue on an earlier date. However, rather postponing yet again, they decided to bite the bullet and just go ahead..!

A micro wedding with just a few of their closest family members and a couple of friends was arranged for April 2021. Church was booked and a family feast was prepared back at home in Wicklow. I covered the preps, church and we spent a bit of time in Killiney Hill after the ceremony as it was a convenient location on the way back to Wicklow. It’s also a great location for photos and  one of my favourite places to photograph couples and families in Dublin.

Whilst a surprising amount of work goes into arranging a micro wedding, it is still a lot less stressful than a normal wedding. So when I arrived at Anna and Paul’s house that morning, it was an oasis of calm and it continued this way for the rest of the day.

The ceremony was in the lovely St. Mochta’s in Luttrellstown (a popular choice for exclusive weddings in Luttrellstown Castle which is just down the road). After the lovely intimate ceremony everybody headed back to Wicklow but Anna, Paul and I headed to Killiney for their photos.  It was warm weather and clear blue skies all the way as you will see from their wedding photos.

Thanks again to Anna and Paul for choosing me to be their wedding photographer. Paul is an excellent photographer himself. He specialises in cityscapes and landscapes and enjoys a huge following on Instagram. It’s always flattering and somewhat nerve-wrecking to be chosen by a fellow photographer…!!!
