The stunning Boyne Hill House is a particular favourite of mine. Beautiful old house, with stunning rooms, a lovely area for indoor ceremonies and a fantastic walled garden for outdoor wedding ceremonies, photographs or first looks. When the availability enquiry came in from Dee & Steven, I jumped at the chance to work there again and I was delighted that they chose me to be their wedding photographer. Dee & Steven are a totally chilled couple and were a dream to work with. Having rescheduled their date due to Covid several times, they eventually got to proceed albeit with a very intimate wedding. Just a handful of guests but this makes the day even more special.
All the preparations took place in Boyne Hill House meaning that I could cover both bride and groom getting ready. All this before an emotional ceremony where tears flowed.
The more intimate the wedding, the less fuss and stress before and especially during the day itself. Today was no exception. I truly believe that smaller weddings are so much better than a big wedding with loads of guests. As a close observer on the day, I see both brides and grooms enjoying themselves far more during a smaller wedding. Dee and Steven were no exception. They had a ball.
Photos were taken in the walled garden for a short while before dinner in a beautifully appointed room in the old house.
