Despite it being the middle of winter, we were lucky to have mild weather and clear skies, which allowed us to fully explore the estate for some breathtaking photos.
Bellinter House’s dedicated staff, led by the wonderful Tina, ensured every detail of the day was meticulously looked after. From the ceremony to the reception, their attention to the little things made sure everything went off without a hitch. The food was exceptional, with the chefs creating gourmet dishes from the finest local ingredients, making the dining experience one to remember.
We made the most of the stunning grounds, with the rustic stone walls and charming alcoves providing scenic backdrops at every turn. From intimate couple shots to group portraits, every spot on the estate offered something unique and picturesque.

Capturing the Beauty of a Bellinter House Wedding
The day didn’t start at Bellinter House though. Instead it started at the brides house conveniently located very close to St Marys Church in Castlebellingham. The bridal preps passed by pretty calmly which was great. I didn’t get to cover the groom’s prep as Reamonn was too far away so it was only when I got to the church when I got to meet up with the guys.
The ceremony at the local church started on time thanks to Ailish’s superb organisational skills. After the ceremony, everybody travelled onto Bellinter House where they were greeted with a drink and canapés.
There always a wow factor when arriving at Bellinter House with its long winding entrance avenue before you finally get a glimpse of the house itself. As this was a winter wedding and day light is precious, we launched straight into bride and groom photos along with some family formals also.
After that, Ailish and Reamonn were free to mingle with their guests until dinner bell. Although, I did grab them for a quick 5 minutes just before dinner bell as I saw a break in the clouds just as the sun was setting. It was worth it and both bride and groom were delighted when they saw the photos.
After that it was dinner, speeches and then the real party started. Thanks so much to this amazing couple who hired me to cover their day. They were both absolutely fantastic to work with. Enjoyed every minute of it.
