Beautiful Outdoor Wedding in Horetown House, Co Wexford

I absolutely love driving down to a wedding in Horetown House because Niamh and the staff there are just the nicest and best professional staff you will find at any of the best wedding venues in Ireland. When it’s an outdoor wedding in Horetown House you know it’s going to be fantastic.

Minoo & Philip’s Outdoor Wedding in Horetown House, Co Wexford

Horetown House is also a gem of a venue with its beautiful rooms filled with antique furniture creating a wonderful venue and atmosphere for stylish and unique weddings. Philip (from Ireland) and Minoo (from Iran) wanted something high-class and unique for their relatively intimate wedding and with Philip originally being from the locality, Horetown was the obvious choice. Both Philip and Minoo live in Australia and had actually been married in Iran the previous week. However, as many friends and family couldn’t travel to Iran for the wedding and vice versa, they decided to have a second wedding for the Irish and UK contingent..! Any excuse for a second party…!!

So after a couple of Skype calls the plan was made for their big day and I met Minoo and Philip for the first time on the morning of their wedding. Completely relaxed and casual morning preparations with both Minoo’s immediate family and Philip’s mingling around. Philip popping into the bridal preparations every now and again to see how they were progressing. No hiding the groom from the bride pre-ceremony here..!

Both bride and groom thought that it would be best for their photos to be taken before the ceremony and the arrival of their guests as they just wanted to kick back and enjoy an uninterrupted afternoon. So I sent a little bit of time with them wandering around the grounds to the estate before family photos at the front door and some final touch-ups. Then it was time for the civil ceremony which was held outside in the beautiful early summer sunshine. Their celebrant was the lovely Annemarie from More Than Vows (https://www.facebook.com/MoreThanVows/) who I’ve shared many a ceremony with at this stage.

Afternoon was then spent lounging around enjoying drinks and the fabulous food that Horetown House is famous for. After that it was time for more delicious food in the form of a sit down multi-course dinner with some emotional speeches before working all those gained calories off with some dancing.

Thank you so much to Minoo and Philip for choosing me to be a photographer at their outdoor wedding in Horetown House.
