So you’re you’re getting married and are looking for a venue that can host your ceremony and reception afterwards. However you want somewhere in Dublin city centre that is that bit different. You want a venue that is stylish and high end. You want a venue that will offer lovely photo opportunities inside and outside. The Museum of Literature MOLi is fast becoming known as a wedding venue to put on your list of options.

Welcome to the wedding of Aoife and John from a beautiful day last September. I’d never shot in MoLI before as it is a fairly new wedding venue. I did a pre-visit before the wedding to have a look around. This is when I met Flora – one of the wedding co-ordinators at MoLI who turned out to be one of the most helpful co-ordinators I have met at any wedding venue. Turns out that the entire wedding team at MoLI absolutely smash it when it comes to looking after you. They totally offer a first class service.

So Aoife & John’s day started with a first look in the rear garden of MoLI which proved to be a perfect quiet spot. One big advantage with MoLI is that the lovely Iveagh Gardens back onto MoLI and there is even a private gateway into the gardens from MoLI. So quick and easy access to a perfect location for your photos. However, as soon as we entered Iveagh Gardens, the heavens opened and we had to drive for the nearest tree. The wonderful staff at MoLi quickly came to the rescue with an umbrella so our bride was kept dry. Time was on our side so we simply decided to continue the couple photos inside the beautiful building and to aim for some outdoor shots after the ceremony instead.

Onto a lovely intimate wedding ceremony officiated by Lucie O’Sullivan #lucieosullivan where Aoife & John were surrounded by their closest family and friends. After the I do’s were said and rings exchanged, drinks and canapes were served in an adjoining room.

Family photos and some outdoor couple photos took place in the rear garden of MoLI before I said my goodbyes.

This is such a lovely venue for a wedding complimented by a team of excellent attentive staff. In my view, it’s simply a no-brainer for any couple to consider if they are looking to hold an intimate wedding in Dublin city.
