What an absolute incredible day for Ciara and Jamie’s summer wedding at Castle Bellingham. Beautiful weather, fabulous location and a really chilled out vibe thanks to a great couple.
Summer wedding at Castle Bellingham
I first spoke to Ciara and Jamie via Skype as they both live in the UK. I immediately warmed to them as they were totally on the same page as me when it comes to wedding photography and how I should work on the day. This was going to be a relaxed and chilled affair with hopefully an outdoor wedding on the grounds of the magnificent Castle Bellingham. Jamie being English was going to bring loads of family and friends across the Irish Sea for their wedding. Ciara is Irish and fairly local to Castle bellingham so the venue was almost in the backyard for the Irish.
The Day
Ciara and the girls started the day with the bridal preparations in her family home. It was laughs all the way and Ciara’s mum had thought of everything to ensure nothing went wrong or nobody was wanting anything. A true superwoman…! It was then onto the Castle to meet an ever so slightly nervous Jamie. But he didn’t have long to wait before everybody was sitting out in the sunshine awaiting for the arrival of Ciara and her bridesmaids.
A beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a lovely afternoon for guests on the lawn enjoying the weather, canapes and champagne. Like all my wedding couples, Ciara and Jamie wanted some really natural photos with little or no posing. So we went for a walk with the entire bridal party down to the weir for initial group photos. The bride and groom lingered on afterwards for some more photos before we rambled back to the guests on the lawn. Seemed like no time before the dinner bell and speeches.
