Couple Shoots, Secret Proposal & Engagement Shoots in Dublin

Engagement Shoot / Couple Shoot / Vow Renewal / Secret Proposal

If you are thinking of any of the above type of photo sessions, I’d love to help you out.

I’m Dublin based and whilst most of my couple shoots are based in the Dublin area and surrounding counties, I work all over the country. So if you have anywhere particular in mind, reach out and let me know.

I travel to you for your photo shoot to a location of your choice. That could be your home, a local park, beach etc… It’s up to you…! You can also choose what sort of look you want. For example, most people go casual, some go a bit more formal and some a bit of both. Again, it’s your choice and it’s something that we can discuss beforehand.

Prices start at €450

If you’re interested in exploring a session further, please follow this link and complete the enquiry form. I will then get back to you with availability and a quote.

David is an absolutely incredible photographer. I worked with David via email and Skype to plan a candid and surprise proposal photo shoot with my girlfriend. He was extremely helpful and responsive during all of the planning and communicating with him was a breeze. David got some excellent candid photos of me proposing to my girlfriend. After we spent some time at the proposal location, David traveled with us to the Cliffs of Moher where we spent a few hours walking around and getting stunning photos. I can ensure you that this was some of the best money I have ever spent. David exceeded my expectations in every possible way and the final pictures we received were almost unbelievable. They are truly amazing and all of our family was so impressed as well. I really would not have had anyone else capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment. If you need a photographer for any type of event I can not recommend David enough. Thank you David!

Some Questions Answered

  • How do we book you? Simple – once you made your enquiry, I will arrange to have a Zoom call with you to explore options. We will then decide on when, where etc. A contract will be signed (digitally) and a booking fee (25% of the session price) will be collected from you to secure your date. The balance of the fee will be collected at the time of the session and your gallery will be delivered within 14 days (often much sooner depending on how busy I am at the time).
  • Not sure about a location? No worries. I’ll help you figure out a suitable place during our Zoom call.
  • When is the best time? As a wedding photographer, weekends are generally not possible especially during months April to end of October. Weekdays work best. However, no harm enquiring about a weekend date if you want and if I happen to be available then it’s a go.
  • What is the best time of day for a photo session? Just before sunset or just after sunrise.
  • Whats if it’s raining? We can either go ahead as planned or reschedule to another date/time. There is no rescheduling fee.
  • We have a dog, cat, rabbit… Can we bring our pet..? Yes, absolutely. I love animals.
  • Can we have a change of outfit? Sure, if you want. Some couples plan for 1 change of outfit – a mix of formal and smart casual.
  • Can you photoshop me? I capture real moments and people as they are so I don’t change peoples body, nose, arms, legs etc. If particular cosmetic enhancements are required this can be outsourced to a professional retoucher at an additional fee. All images are edited to my style as you see in my portfolio.

Need some inspiration for a location…..?

Killiney Hill – Dublin

FYI… My most popular location for proposal & couple shoots in Dublin is Killiney Hill which is just on the outskirts of the south side of the city. Easy access by car or train.

Howth Head – Dublin

Howth Head is another very popular location for a Secret Proposal. Like Killiney Hill it is also on the outskirts of the city and is easily accessible. However, it is more exposed to the weather & offers less shelter than Killiney Hill.

The Wicklow Experience

The Dublin mountains and beautiful County Wicklow are right on the outskirts of Dublin allowing incredible photographic opportunities.

We have mountains, valleys, streams, rivers, ancient buildings, lakes, forests, small twisty Irish roads and even a deserted mining village….! We are spoilt for choice but ultimately we will end up with amazing photos of the 2 of you in beautiful countryside with amazing views. Return home with photographic memories of a lifetime to share with family and friends.

This is for clients who have their own car (or if you are visiting Ireland and don’t have a rental car, I can collect & drop you off from a local train station).

As with all my other shoots, I normally try and schedule these for the evening time if possible when the light is better and where there is the chance of a sunset.

Why I believe Wicklow is the best elopement or engagement photo location in Ireland

Here, I’m just going to talk about my favourite and in my opinion the best location in Ireland for an engagement shoot or elopement. It’s also my most popular location with visitors to Ireland – Wicklow. Otherwise known as ‘The Garden of Ireland‘ Wicklow is located just outside of Dublin. Continue reading.

Cliffs of Moher Engagement/Proposal Shoots – Updated 2023

Photoshoots at the Cliffs of Moher are no longer possible

Unfortunately I no longer offer photoshoots at the Cliffs of Moher.
This is entirely due to recent restructuring works along the cliff path. These permanent changes have now made it impossible to access the cliff area that is necessary in order to achieve the photographs with the iconic backdrops that you see on my portfolio & blog. It’s a shame but regrettably, this is now the reality.
However, Ireland is a spectacular country and there are always alternatives. Check out one of my most popular locations for couple shoots –
